I am in the process of filling up the pipeline with journal entries. OK, maybe the phrase filling up is a bit of an overstatement, but I am trying to work ahead a little. I finished one last night for the Oct. 31 launch. I have three more sketched out and waiting to be rendered. This last one took me a little over 5 hours to complete. This is about two hours longer than I would like it to be, but I noodled it a lot. I spend about an hour working on writing the text for these passages and two or three hours working on the accompanying sketch. Some sketches are more time intensive than others.
As for the creative process, I sometimes write first and then draw and sometimes draw first and write to fit. It’s funny how the two are connected but separate. Sometimes while working on a thumbnail sketch for one bad idea three other good ideas will pop up.
