[image] A tall, slender man carries a mermaid into the ocean. He is looking into her eyes with conviction.
[text]I watched from an obscure corner of an impromptu beach wedding. The man gripped his intended in his arms, and the parson shook his head.
“This is not right,” the parson murmured. “It is a sin against nature. I cannot bless the union of a man and a …” His voice trailed off as his mind reached for the word.
“A mermaid?” The man offered.
“It cannot be done.” The parson repeated with resolute conviction.
“But I love her.”
“A bird may love a fish, my son, but where would they live?
The man replied, “Together.”
With that, he shrugged his shoulders, turned his back to us, and disappeared into the depths of the sea.

This is just fantastic. I read this one and was hooked on all the previous ones as well. Keep up the great work.
