OK, just so we are all up to speed:
I write the scripts. I also draw the panels. I also created the look and feel of my site massaging the CSS into submission. I also self host, which means I created databases, installed WordPress including seven or eight plug-ins. One of those plug-ins was ComicPress; I set that up and worked that puzzle within a puzzle to completion. I manage my own SEO. I also create all my advertising, and place the media calls. I promote myself on Facebook, Twitter, Buzz, my own blog, a few comic listing sites, and some local comic book events.
I cannot tell you how many hours I have spent, creating, writing and directing this endeavor – all with the end goal of achieving some sort of artistic expression. (And I should say — with as little out of pocket cost as possible.) I cannot imagine turning any of this over to anybody else to accomplish.
My wife says I suffer from Babara Streisand complex, and keeps reminding me that my time is worth money.
